March is National Nutrition & Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month

Get screened for colorectal cancer today!

Colorectal cancer is preventable and detectable.  If you are 50 and older, getting a colorectal screening test can save your life.  When cancer is found early, the chance of being cured is high.  Research says that more than half of cancer-related deaths in the U. S. can be prevented when screening is done routinely.

Nutrition is very important when it comes to reducing the risk of developing colorectal cancer. It is recommended that adults increase fruits and vegetables in their diet, increase physical activity daily, limit alcohol consumption, and avoid tobacco.
